Varied and Vibrant Vases - versatile stamp sets

The Varied Vases stamp set is one of my FAVORITES! One of the things I think about when I buy a stamp set is its versatility. This set is probably one of the most versatile in the catalog. There are endless possibilities!

The crisp line images are perfect for using the Stampin’ Blends markers. Or, if you don’t like coloring, there are patterned stamps that fit right inside each of the vases. How cool is that?! The flowers and foliage are super versatile too and I love their whimsical feel. But wait…it gets EVEN better! There is also a coordinating punch! I absolutely love stamp sets that have a matching punch. It makes it so easy to add dimension and color to your project.

Needless to say, I was thrilled when there was a coordinating stamp set in the 2019 Occasions Catalog – Vibrant Vases. I could not wait for it to come in the mail so I could start to design!

This first card features the Varied Vases stamp set with Night of Navy and Calypso Coral. I adore this color combination! They were almost my wedding colors. I decided to use the Layering Squares Framelits Dies (141708) and Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies (145372) to add a modern touch. To soften the card just a little bit I used the Garden Trellis embossing folder (143741) on half of the first layer. Using the Vases Builder punch (147040) was an easy way to add dimension.

Dimensions: Thick Whisper White 4 1/4" x 11" scored at 5 1/2", Calypso Coral 3 1/2 x 4 1/4, Night of Navy 3 3/4 x 4 1/2, Whisper white cut with largest stitched square framelits die, Night of Navy frame cut with largest stitched framelits die & inside cut with 2 3/16 square framelit die, scrap of Calypso Coral, Whisper White for sentiment 1/2 x 1 3/8

Ink colors: Night of Navy, Memento Tuxedo Black, Garden Green

Additional Supplies: Vases Builder punch, light Pool Party Stampin' Blends, Calypso Coral 1/4" Ombre Ribbon, Layering Squares Framelits Dies, Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies, Garden Trellis TIEF, Big Shot

This next card features the Vibrant Vases stamp set. I just could not get away from this Night of Navy and Calypso Coral color scheme! I used the Dot to Dot embossing folder (148533) on the Calypso Coral this time and used the coordinating Calypso Coral satin ribbon (148804). The designer series paper is from the Happiness Blooms suite. The options in the Vibrant Vases stamp set are fantastic! It was hard to choose which ones to feature in this card. I used the builder punch again to punch out the fourth vase and then fussy cut the flowers. The sentiment is stamped once full strength and then stamped off four more times.

I wanted to bring some of the amazing stamps from this set to the inside of the card as well. I simply stamped the same vase design I used on the outside on the top panel of the card. The sentiment is from the Varied Vases stamp set. The little tulip (stamped from Vibrant Vases) is similar to the one in the Varied Vases set, but this one is so much better! It's a two step stamp, but the solid stamp has some dimension to it.

Dimensions: Night of Navy 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 scored at 4 1/4, DSP 1 1/4 x 1 1/2, Calypso Coral 1 1/4 x 5 1/2, Whisper white 2 x 4, DSP, Whisper White (inside) 5 1/4 x 4 (x2)

Ink colors: Night of Navy, Call Me Clover, Calypso Coral

Additional Supplies: Vases Builder punch, Calypso Coral 3/8" Satin Ribbon, Dot to Dot TIEF, Big Shot
