Fall in love with the Lovely Floral Embossing folder

The Lovely Floral embossing folder is perfect for making simple but stunning cards. Emboss an entire card layer, add a sentiment and you're good to go!

In this card, I took it one step further and used some sponge daubers to add color. Another simple technique that's not only easy, but affordable. Pick up a pack of 5 sponge daubers for only $5.

A simple sentiment from the Flowering Desert stamp set and leaves from the Incredible Like You stamp set add a finishing touch.

Storage tips for a clean and stress-free stamp room!

I shared some great storage tips in my Share It Saturday video this past weekend. I promised that I would share some more details in a blog post, so here it is! I know I am always looking for ideas from other stampers for storage. Most of these ideas are adapted from others that I found on YouTube or Pinterest from other paper crafters and stampers.

Tip #1: Embossing folder storage
I got this idea from Connie Stewart, a fellow SU! demonstrator. And I thought it was genius!
Dimensions: 6 1/4 x 11" scored on long side at 3 3/4 and 4"
Place your embossing folder on the bottom half and run it through your Big Shot. Add a label and ta da! The perfect embossing folder storage.

Tip #2: Card stock storage
I wanted a simple way to store my card stock that wouldn't take up much space. I found these magazine holders from Ikea (FLYT) and some heavy duty page protectors from Office Max.

See how easy it is to tell how much stock I have left of each color? I love it!

I cut the three holes off the page protector, being careful not to cut the seam. I then used these post-it notes and my label maker to label each page protector with the color name.

The page protector is the perfect place to store my paper scraps.

Tip #3: Storage by Stampin' Up!
The new storage by Stampin' Up! is amazing! My favorite part about it is its versatility - you can make your storage system as big or as small as you want.

Here I have the ink pad and marker storage trays and the Stampin' Blends storage trays.  I love that I can add more in the future without a ton of investment.

The two towers of ink pad storage furthest to the left are topped with the storage toppers, which hold up to 20 re-inkers.

There's space to store your Stampin' Write marker right next to the ink pad, too. I like to store my colors in rainbow order, but you could easily store them by color family as well. The possibilities are endless!

It's so great to finally be able to see my Stampin' Blends and have easy access. I always just had them thrown in crayon boxes and they would get all mixed up.

**Bonus tip: If you have the Alex drawers from Ikea, the packaging from the storage units works great for drawer dividers! You can fit two across and three deep.

Get Distinktive with April's Paper Pumpkin Kit

I think Stampin' Up! knew how excited I was about this month's Paper Pumpkin kit because it came in the mail a almost a week earlier than normal! Yay! Once again, SU! did not disappoint. But how can you be disappointed with photo-realistic Distinktive stamps???

Here's what the stamp set looks like. Wait until you see that rose inked up!

Here's a video showing you how to assemble one of each design in the kit, along with a sneak peak of May's Paper Pumpkin kit

If the video doesn't play, click here to watch it on my blog.

Doesn't that video make you want to subscribe to Paper Pumpkin next month?? If the answer is yes, make sure to do so before May 10th. More about May's kit later...

As always, I wanted to share some alternative projects using the kit. There are endless opportunities and SU!'s coordinating line of products makes it so easy! I like to try and see how many projects I can create using only the products in the kit. Of course I might add an ink pad, some card stock, or an embellishment here or there.

Here's a video showing the alternative projects I made this month.

I had so much fun playing with this stamp set!

These cards really show off the beautiful detail in the Distinktive stamp. It's amazing how different the rose looks in different colors. I wanted to make one of these in every color, but I settled for three 😉

Dimensions: Whisper White 5 1/2 x 8 1/2" scored at 4 1/4", Colored CS 4 1/4 x 5 1/2", Whisper White 4 x 5 1/4" - Use 2 1/8 and 2 3/8" square framelits to cut out center

Ink colors: So Saffron, Fresh Fig, Mint Macaron, Gray Granite

Additional Supplies: Gray Granite Textured Weave Ribbon, Layering Squares Framelits

When making this card, I tried to stick to using only products from the Paper Pumpkin kit. The only additional product I used was the Vases Builder punch, a super versatile punch.

Ink colors: Gray Granite

Additional Supplies: Vases builder punch

This card was inspired by the watercolored backgrounds that came with the kit. I am in love with this color scheme! This will definitely be showing up in more of my designs.

Dimensions: Gray Granite 5 1/2 x 8 1/2" scored at 4 1/4", So Saffron 3 x 5 1/2", Mint Macaron 2 3/4 x 5 1/2", Shimmery White 2 1/2 x 5 1/2"

Ink Colors: Gray Granite, So Saffron, Mint Macaron

Additional Supplies: Aqua painter

So, are you dying to know what May's kit will be??? Shelli Gardner, the co-founder of Stampin' Up! inspired May's earthy and elegant spring kit. It includes everything you need to make 12 cards, 3 each of 4 unique designs. You'll also get a preview of one of the new 2019-2021 In Colors, Pretty Peacock. This kit will definitely be one to remember, so don't miss out! Here's a sneak peak to the exclusive Hugs from Shelli kit.
